2019 saw the launch of our online Mileage Logger, thanks to 1000-miler and volunteer logger-czar Martyn Walmsley. Now to help take the logger to the next level, Martyn would like to draw some more volunteers who would enjoy sharing in the development of this community project.
What is the logger?
The Logger allows you to enter your miles centrally, monitor progress and see average daily miles to date and average required to reach your 1000. It’s a record-keeper, not a live mile tracker like OS Maps from our routes partner Ordnance Survey, and it’s in permanent beta.
What are we looking for?
To make the service more robust and add new features, Martyn’s looking for volunteers willing to contribute in some of the following areas: HTML & CSS, Python, Flask, SQL, Postgres DBs, Redis NoSQL DBs. Pay is non-existent, conditions are whatever you’ve set the heating at and perks include free #walk1000miles merchandise!
To find out more, email Martyn.
