OCD + anxiety: "Now I feel free and happy"

Rachel Harold, 32, from Buckinghamshire says the challenge has helped her fight her back into the real world feeling full of confidence and optimism.

‘I have OCD and anxiety and the pandemic was particularly challenging for me – so much so that I developed agoraphobia and didn’t leave my house for the best part of a year. This challenge has allowed me to take those first tentative steps back into the great outdoors and I’ve gone from never leaving my house to climbing mountains and going on solo walking holidays! It’s really helped me get my life back.

‘I can walk so much further than I used to be able to, my physical fitness has improved dramatically! I’ve gone from being agoraphobic to going out walking by myself as often as possible and I’ve managed to visit some of the UK’s most beautiful places this year. It’s changed my life for the better and I wouldn’t have any of this had it not been for the challenge!’
