This is Hannah Lowes, she's 12 and she's awesome. Hannah walked 1000 miles this year and is proud as punch. She received her medal in an Olympic-style ceremony from mum Julie.
We love it when anyone completes their 1000 miles but we’re particularly impressed and delighted when children and teenagers do it. There's so much competition for their time, pressure to do conventional things, and just a big mist of 'Why bother?' all around.
But young people's minds and bodies benefit from a challenge like #walk1000miles just as much as anyone's – possibly even more so given that the struggles and uncertainties and worries we face at these times of our lives often loom larger than at any other.
So apart from saying well done to Hannah, we’re appealing to any other children or teens who are doing #walk1000miles – I'd love to hear from you if you’ve got five minutes to fill in the Q&A form below. There’s a section for you and one for mum, dad or your guardian – and by filling it in you might appear in the magazine, and help encourage others to do something amazing too!
