This year we kicked off our 2022 #minichallenge season by offering six pledge-makers the chance to win a money-can’t-buy Golden Badge. Huge congratulations to our winners: Leanne Gower, who last year discovered #walk1000miles was a brilliant escape from remote learning and this year anticipates ‘Mud, puddle-jumping, exploring, tree-climbing, laughter and smiles’; Hannah Sherlock who presented hers from the top of the third highest hill in Shropshire, Titterstone Clee, and explained that ‘The balls work for Air Traffic Control (large one) & Met Office (small one)’; Emma Cooper who started as she means to go on, filling a bag with litter (top work!); Barbara Ruszala who says: “I joined the group in September last year and you all have been an inspiration to me every single day since”, Cathy Marima who made a fine display at Rochester Castle, and Rosaidh Phillips who despite having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is gunning for 500 miles this year. How lovely and good luck all! Winners: click here to claim your precious!
